Department Overview
Encryption Division of Symantec (formerly PGP Corp) is the leader in email and data encryption solutions for enterprise data protection, and is enjoying a milestone year of revenue. PGP technology has earned a reputation for innovative, standards-based, trusted solutions. These solutions are used by more than 80,000 enterprises, businesses, and governments worldwide. Customers depend on PGP products as part of a regulatory and audit compliance solutions, to protect confidential information, secure customer data, and safeguard company brands and reputations.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and develop new software features
• Take ownership of existing software components and provide leadership to Junior team members.
• Think strategically
• Write design documents and technical functional specifications
• Work collaboratively with remote teams, other internal development teams, QA engineers on bug isolation and fixes
Qualifications
• Completed B.S./M.S in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years experience on C/C++ programming in a Windows environment.
• 3+ years of Kernel programming experience
• Hands-on experience with the following
o Window Internals, hooking into Windows kernel.
o Experience with File System Filter driver programming
o Knowledge of Windows Systems programming, system programming using Windows 32-bit and 64-bit APIs.
o Dump debugging - Good hands with Windows Debugging
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with embedded systems development is a plus.
• Knowledge of data encryption, security protocols is a plus.
